This is one of the first items I ever obtained for my "second collection," an early 80s thrift store find that set me back 75 cents. It"s sonically appealing because of the insistent low frequency rhythms, and it"s emotionally resonant because most of the recordings are of canines with heart problems. It"s a lot like Lennon and Ono"s “Baby"s Heartbeat" (1969) but much longer and more varied - plus it"s doggies!
